Dead in West Hollywood? Well, Axl Rose would beg to differ. He’s the latest celebrity “victim” of the MSNBC.website, which has no association with the television network of the same name and is registered to an unnamed person in Arizona.
“Sources: Guns N’ Roses Frontman Axl Rose Found Dead in West Hollywood Home at Age 52” is the headline on the story about Rose that appeared on the website, which apparently is now down. MSNBC.website sparked controversy with another false posting in October claiming Macauley Culkin was dead.
“Unconfirmed reports say Rose was found dead Tuesday late afternoon in his West Hollywood home after police were called around 3:30 pm for a welfare check,” the MSNBC.website story alleged. It quoted someone from the Sheriff’s Department as saying: “The home was entered by police through an open back door where a body was found in the foyer area.”
