Vehicle Thefts and Burglaries Were Last Week’s Main Crimes

Below is the weekly crime report from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station that calls out incidents in WeHo from Sept. 12 to Sept. 18. The times are indicated in as Military Time, a concise form in which midnight is indicated as 0000 and noon as 1200. The list also includes the case number.

Sept. 12

Grand Theft. 8400 block Melrose Avenue. @ 8:54 a.m.-9:15 a.m. A laptop computer was taken from a desk. Loss $1,200. #05385

Residential Burglary. 1300 block Sweetzer Avenue. @ 8:45 a.m.-5:50 p.m. Force was used on the front door to gain entry and a laptop, PlayStation, tablet and tools were taken from the living room. Loss $1,000. #05397

Vehicle Burglary. 7700 block Hampton Avenue. @ 7:30 p.m.-9:30 a.m. The front driver’s side window was smashed and a charging cord, cash, and garage remote were taken from the center console. Loss $300. #05413

CrimeSept. 13

Grand Theft. 8800 block Beverly Blvd @ 4:30 p.m.. A Rolex watch and cash were taken from the center console of an unlocked vehicle. Loss $2,300. #05418

Vehicle Burglary. 1000 block Formosa Avenue @ 8:10 p.m.-10:45 p.m. The rear passenger’s side window was smashed and a laptop, hard drive, and backpack were taken from the front seat. Loss $1,800. #05431

Sept. 15

Strong Arm Robbery (Suspect Arrested) 7800 block Santa Monica Boulevard. @ 1:30 p.m.. a man removed food and left the store without payment. When confronted in the parking lot by security, the suspect began to struggle in an attempt to get away. The suspect broke free but was located and arrested by responding deputies. Loss $25. #05461

Sept. 16

Aggravated Assault. 9200 block Sunset Boulevard. @ 2:50 a.m. A man was standing on the sidewalk waiting for an Uber when he was punched one time in the face without provocation by the suspect. The suspect fled the area on foot. #05477

Other Burglary. 1200 block Laurel Avenue @ 2:30a.m. A man removed four tires and wheels from a vehicle parked in an underground. Loss $3,200. #05482

Sept. 17

Strong Arm Robbery (Suspect Arrested) 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard. @ 9:05 p.m.. A man filled a backpack with clothing and attempted to leave the store. When confronted by security, the suspect began to struggle and swing his arms in an attempt to get away. Responding deputies arrested the suspect. Loss $180. #05525
