Deputies Arrest Suspects in Three Armed Robberies in WeHo

Below is the weekly crime report from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station that calls out incidents in WeHo from Oct. 31 to Nov. 6. The times are indicated in as Military Time, a concise form in which midnight is indicated as 0000 and noon as 1200. The list also includes the case number.

Oct. 31

Other Burglary. 700 block West Knoll Drive between 7 and 9:30 p.m. $400 in cash was taken from a safe. No sign of forced entry. #06581

Grand Theft. 8200 block Santa Monica Boulevard @ 2:16 am. A purse was taken from the front seat of the unlocked vehicle. Loss $6,000. #06530

CrimeArmed Robbery (Suspects arrested). Laurel Avenue / Romaine Avenue @ 7 p.m. A woman was standing on the sidewalk when a man approached her while armed with a handgun and demanded her property. The victim complied and the suspect ran to a silver Audi A4 occupied by two additional suspects. Deputies responded, located and arrested all three suspects. The victim’s cell phone was recovered. #06551 (Related to the armed robbery on Santa Monica Boulevard and Spaulding on same date and one on Genessee on Oct. 25.)

Armed Robbery (Suspects arrested). Santa Monica Boulevard / Spaulding Avenue @ 9:30 pm. A man was standing on the sidewalk when a man approached him while armed with a handgun and demanded his property. The victim complied and the suspect ran to a silver Audi A4 occupied by two additional suspects. The victim’s property was recovered. #06553 (Related to #06551 and #06393)

Vehicle Burglary. 9000 block Sunset Boulevard between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. The front driver’s side window was smashed and a backpack, two leather jackets, cash, and a fur coat were taken from the rear passenger seat. Loss $1,300. #06573

Vehicle Burglary. 1100 block Kings Road between 10 p.m. and 2:45 a.m. The front driver’s side window was smashed and a purse was taken from the passenger’s side floorboard. Loss $750. #06577

Nov. 1

Grand Theft. Santa Monica Boulevard / Holloway Drive @ 10 a.m. A man dropped his cell phone while walking his dog. A homeless man picked up the cell phone and walked away. Loss $1,000. #06580

Grand Theft. 7300 block Santa Monica Boulevard between noon and 2 p.m. Tools were taken from an unsecured tool box at a construction site. Loss $1,350

Strong Arm Robbery (Suspect arrested). 8900 block Santa Monica Boulevard @ 1:30 a.m. A man removed four sets of car keys from a valet stand and ran from the parking lot. An employee tried to prevent the suspect from getting away and a struggle ensued. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect. #06571

Nov. 2

Residential Burglary. 1200 block Crescent Heights between 9:30 and 9:40 p.m. A laptop and iPhone were taken from the living room. The front door was left unlocked while the resident walked a friend to her car. Loss $3,000. #06624

Nov. 4

Grand Theft. 7900 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 2 and 2:30 a.m. A man had his watch taken after he let a stranger try it on. Alcohol was a factor. Loss $60,000. #06660

Nov. 6

Strong Arm Robbery (Suspect arrested). 1000 block La Brea Avenue @ 7 p.m. A man removed a pair of wireless headphones and speakers from the shelf and attempted to leave the business. When confronted by store security, the suspect elbowed and pushed the victim in the chest in an attempt to get away. A responding deputy saw the struggle and arrested the suspect. No loss. #06705

Once again, why on earth do we leave anything in our cars? Purses, backpacks, jackets…..When are we going to learn not to leave anything!!! Doesn’t matter where you live!!!!
