The fifth annual Off Sunset Festival, billed as “LA’s Perverted Little Street Fair,” takes place this Sunday.
Off Sunset is a gathering, mostly of gay men, who celebrate their fetish for leather (and other things) with music, food and dancing on a stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard from Hoover to Sunset. The event begins at noon and runs to 7 p.m., with tickets, priced at $20, available online. The event is only open to those 21 years old and older.
Off Sunset provides grants to non-profits that offer services and programs in Silver Lake and surrounding areas, using festival proceeds to provide financial support toward beautification, art, and youth programs with an emphasis on the LGBT community. Grant applications and guidelines are available online.
This year’s music lineup includes:
2 p.m. Boys with Guitars
3 p.m. Street Walking Cheetahs
4 p.m. Clutch the Pearls
5 p.m. Nova Cycle
6 p.m. Renegades of Pride
oh snap!
Since when is ‘off sunset’ or sunset jcn as it used to be called in Weho? Isn’t it a bit out of your scope??
Not if it involves gay life in LA, which is what the page is titled!
