Defending champions the L.A. Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence return to defend their title from the West Hollywood Cheerleaders in the 6th annual Drag Queen World Series on Saturday.
All money raised at the event will go to the Life Group LA a coalition of people dedicated to the education, empowerment and emotional support of people both infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS so that they may make informed choices and decisions regarding their healthcare and personal wellbeing.
The Drag Queen World Series will be held from 1 to 4 p.m .at Glendale Sports Complex, 2200 Fern Lane in Glendale. Tickets, $15 purchased in advance and $20 at the door are on sale now online.
The National Anthem will be sung by recording artist Irene Soderberg. The “7th Inning Stretch” this year will showcase a comic performance by Margot Evans, who has been on tour as one of the “Rebels of Comedy”
This year’s commentary will be by two of the Chico’s Angels: Chita Parol (the “smart one”) and Frieda Laye (the “friendly” one), both part of the trio of beautiful and comedic Latina drag queens who make up Chico’s Angels.
Throughout the day, music will be spun by celebrity DJ, Eur-O-Steve. This years’ food truck time is being made available by Baby’s Badass Burgers.
