Tommy Bertollo’s family and friends are looking for him. And they need your help.
Bertollo, 35, left his home in New Jersey in July and drove to California “on a whim” according to a family friend.
While his family believes Bertollo is suffering from mental illness, Joe Kennedy, the family friend, said they weren’t too concerned because “we had been in contact with him on a pretty regular basis even though it would be a week or two between contact.”
“Fast forward to today and we haven’t been able to get in touch with him since early September,” Kennedy said in an email to WEHOville. “His phone doesn’t appear to be on anymore and it goes right to voicemail but he doesn’t have his mailbox set up. His car was towed from Cynthia Street on October 2nd and that’s the last lead we’ve had.”
Bertollo is about 6’1″ tall and weighed about 220 to 230 pounds when his family last saw him, although he’s likely to have lost some weight. “He was last seen by a friend with a full beard,” Kennedy said, “and he is an avid skate boarder so if there are any skate parks around that would be a good place to suggest looking at.”
Kennedy said that two friends of Bertollo are coming to Los Angeles today to look for him.

Sonoma County Sheriffs Deputies just arrested him and he is going to the Sonoma County Jail in California. The city where the jail is is Santa Rosa, Ca.

Always direct information to the authorities where the missing persons was filed. Thank you WEHOville for supporting this cause, but it is in the best interest of this missing to not play the go between. I say this having endured the search for my missing 19-yr-old brother Ryan Katcher for 6-years. Including the number for the police department heading the search is the only way to separate the false reports from legitimate missing persons. Please update this post with the phone number of the police department in charge of the investigation so that the message can be shared more.
Yes, but in Toms River, NJ from 10/4 Entered NCIC. Car had already been towed in West Hollywood .
Yes, he is in NCIC as a missing person.
I can’t be absolutely sure but I saw a guy who looked like him by highland and Franklin in Hollywood around Sept 30. He was wearing nice clothes with no shoes. Looked like he had slept outside but again guy looked alike but can’t confirm it definitely was him.
Look in Venice, my friends brother disappears every once in a while and they almost always find him in the Venice area.
