At about 5 p.m. today, West Hollywood Sheriff’s deputies and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to an incident at the intersection of San Vicente Boulevard and Rangely Avenue in which a car had struck a pedestrian.
A gray Honda Fit traveling eastbound on Rangely stuck a pedestrian at the San Vicente intersection. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation. West Hollywood Sheriff’s deputies are handling the investigation.
Driving from Robertson to San Vicente can be a nerve wracking nightmare. Especially for people who live in the tri-West area, trying to use the left turn at Rosewood heading east can be a terrifying experience. If just one of those streets (Dorrington, Rangely, Rosewood) were redesigned to allow for an easier passthrough of traffic, there would be fewer accidents in that vicinity.
San Vicente between Melrose and Beverly Blvd has had a longgggg history of accidents and the city, once again, has done nothing about it. I hope someone will sue the city at some point for having known there are issues and not acting.
Those side streets feeding into San Vicente are probably the most dangerous part of my walk to work and back home. I actually think Dorrington is the worst. I wish those streets had no left turn onto San Vicente.
