NextGen: Giving You the Business, a panel discussion offering young residents an insight into business from local business owners, will take place on Tuesday at the Pacific Design Center Red Building.
The event will be in the WeWork space in the Red Building and it will run from 6 to 9 p.m. The event is aimed at NextGen community members, but is open to everyone. Attendance at the NextGen event is free, but RSVPs are requested. To RSVP, visit nextgenwesthollywood.splashthat.com.
The NextGen series of events was launched at the suggestion of City Councilmember Lindsey Horvath as starting point for young residents who would like to get involved with civic life, and particularly people who are interested in being involved in the evolution of government programs and services in West Hollywood over the coming decades.
“West Hollywood is a creative hub, with a culture of imagination and innovation,” said Horvath in an announcement of the event. “Many of our NextGen community members are well-poised to start businesses here, but may not know where to begin. I’m committed to helping connect the NextGen to resources and information so they can thrive as new business owners in the City of West Hollywood. This event will facilitate impactful conversations and connections.”
A panel discussion will feature local business owners and professionals, who will share their experiences and insights about the City of West Hollywood’s business community and tips for working within the city. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 6 p.m. to mix and mingle and participants will be invited to stay for additional networking after the panel discussion ends at 8 p.m.
