The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station is investigating an incident involving a smashed window at the new Fred Segal store at 8500 W. Sunset Blvd.
Deputies showed up at 2 a.m. for a reported burglary after being notified by the Los Angeles Police Department that the front glass doors had been shattered.
It’s unclear if an actual burglary occurred or if this was an act of vandalism. No suspects have been identified. .The store is located in the new building complex at the intersection of Sunset and La Cienega boulevards.
It does not appear as if the LASD sends any of their brightest bulbs to West Hollywood. This photo should be the “poster child” for that unfortunate happenstance.

And for “an incident involving a smashed window” the sheriff’s deputy needs an M4 carbine with 2 ammo magazine clips taped together? REALLY! From what I see of the sheriff’s deputy, he should put more effort into slimming down his mid section as opposed to overcompensating with an assault rifle.
Amen, this is America’s policing in one picture. A broken window and you get an overweight cop pulling out firepower from RAMBO. Did they think that Boko Haram was in there setting up a base camp? Totally outrageous. And we wonder why WeHo residents are getting gunned down by our own police with friendly fire. RIP John Winkler.
