One person was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon in the Fairfax District by a suspect who is still at large.
Officers were called about 2:30 p.m. to the area of North Ogden Drive and Melrose Avenue, said Officer Rosario Cervantes of the Los Angeles Police Department.
That area is in Los Angeles, two blocks south of the West Hollywood border, which is at Willoughby Avenue in that part of town.
A male victim — whose name and age were not immediately released — was taken in a private car to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, she said.
Police have not identified a suspect or motive, Cervantes said.
A month ago on Dec. 15, there was another shooting in that area. One person was killed and the other critically wounded. That shooting happened at Melrose and Stanley avenues.
