Ed Buck back in court on Tuesday

The criminal case for political donor Ed Buck will head to an evidentiary hearing on Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Buck, 66, faces federal charges for allegedly giving drugs to a man who died at his West Hollywood apartment after being lured across state lines for prostitution. He faces nine felony counts in Los Angeles federal court, plus state charges of running a drug den. The federal case will proceed first.

An evidentiary hearing happens after a formal criminal complaint has been issued by a prosecutor. The purpose of this hearing is to prevent unreasonable arrest and detention by evaluating whether or not there is enough evidence or testimony to compel a case to trial.

Also on Tuesday, a final status conference is scheduled in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Joyce Jackson and Joann Campbell against Buck. The sisters allege Buck gave their brother, Timothy Dean, a lethal dose of crystal methamphetamine in Buck’s West Hollywood apartment in 2019.

Buck was arrested in September 2019 after being charged in federal court with providing methamphetamine to a man who died after receiving the drug intravenously. He faces additional charges, including a count alleging that he enticed 26-year-old Gemmel Moore to travel to the Los Angeles area to engage in prostitution. Buck allegedly provided meth to Moore, who overdosed on the drug.

Buck is charged with a second count of enticing another man to travel with the intent of engaging in prostitution. He is also accused of knowingly and intentionally distributing meth, and using his apartment for the purpose of distributing narcotics such as meth, and the sedatives gamma hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) and clonazepam.

Buck has been in custody at a downtown federal lockup since his arrest.

The slammer has not been berry, berry good to Ed.

If it were a 26 year old white female who died in the home of a non-white male only ONCE and the FIRST time, even with a history of prostitution & substance abuse on the part of the victim, it’s doubtful the suspect would ever see the light of day until everything was completely settled.

These “prostitutes’ were humans. He lured them and dosed them and they died. Repeatedly They were sons, brothers, nephews and beloved. And in my opinion this makes Ed a serial killer.

This story of the white man’s exploitation and murder of People of Color has been happening in the entire Americas consistently from 1492 on ❗

Most people use the line “lighten up Francis” on me from early 80’s comedy movie “Stripes” starring Bill Murray.🤣

Poster child for West Hollywood.
There are many more Ed Bucks in WeHo.
No one has yet died from their behavior.
Make a date, stoke up the meth and party on in Party Central.
His friends were and are in high places preaching ethics and fine behavior.
There must be something strange in the water of Weho.

We need to get to the root of the problem to keep these tragedies from being repeated❗

The root of the problem is right in front of everyone’s eyes here in West Hollywood. A self fulfilling prophecy. There is no will to change it. Development, cannabis terminal irresponsible behavior, bar hoppers, transient meth partygoers and the revenues they produce just keeps it neatly under the carpet. BUT WE HAVE A TRIPLE AAA BOND RATING says the city manager. The city is rich what are you complaining about?

The root of the problem extends far beyond West Hollywood, the establishment’s failure to realize it’s the poor who generated their wealth even, many times the poor and oppressed fail to realize it themselves but, when they do ❗ ✊🏽
