On Friday, August 19, 2021 (1) driver was arrested for DUI at a DUI checkpoint.
The DUI checkpoint was held at Fairfax Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Why would they post a DUI Checkpoint a year ago August 19 2021 Who cares something happen a year ago
But – interesting that they posted it.
It looks like a typo. They meant to write 2022, as in, last Friday. Aug 19 didn’t fall on a Friday in 2021.
I’m guessing they messed up with that 2021 date, since they weren’t doing checkpoints last year because of covid restrictions. Somebody’s typo. It was this year.
