The City of West Hollywood issued a statement in the wake of a street brawl that happened on La Cienega last night, an incident which is being investigated as a hate crime, according to ABC News 7.

“The City of West Hollywood has heard from community members about concerns regarding an allegedly anti-Semitic hate incident last night. The incident took place in the City of Los Angeles, just outside of the City of West Hollywood’s boundaries. One of the City of West Hollywood’s fundamental core values is respect and support for all people.Since its founding, the City of West Hollywood has provided support and leadership on many progressive and humane policies and has championed values that promote and celebrate diversity, embrace people and cultures from everywhere, and reject divisiveness, racism, anti-Semitism, and hate in all its forms. We will not be deterred in our stand against hatred and intolerance and we will continue our work to ensure safety throughout West Hollywood, including places of worship and religious organizations.”

Reports say a group of pro-Palestinian protesters began accosting a group of Jewish diners with anti-Semitic remarks before throwing glass bottles at them. At least one man was taken to the hospital for injuries.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations released a statement saying in part, “We condemn this hate crime in the strongest possible terms and urge authorities to find and prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law. According to the FBI’s Hate Crime Statistics Report for 2019, the most recent publication year, Jews are the focus of 60 percent of religious bias-related hate crimes, targeted at a significantly higher rate than any other religious group.”

For all of you activists gays out there supporting Hamas, let me just remind you that when they aren’t laving rockets into Israel, they enjoy tossing us (gay people) off of roofs to see how high we bounce when our bodies hit the ground. Israel on the other hand recognizes gay marriages, allows gay people to adopt an has outlawed discrimination against us. But sure, let’s support these people who assault our friends and neighbors, and who see us as subhumans who must be destroyed.

It shows that people who live in West Hollywood who walk or patronize business for 365 days have had to deal with random and unprovoked attacks, individuals following people in the neighborhood and punching them or gay bashing and gay hate crimes, racial sexual identity resentment and cultural division tension among groups, Many confrontations and attacks on individuals and couples and groups at knifepoint and gunpoint, fist fights and brawls with both gay and straight club goers street beat downs, gun fights, armed robberies and shootings to steal cars, merchandise and pets and jewelry, heated exchanges that turn violent to… Read more »

I certainly do not approve of this. Just because Israel and Hamas are acting badly does not mean that we will allow their problems to transplant here in Los Angeles. Nobody deserves to be attacked while peacefully eating dinner…

How is Israel behaving badly? Israel is defending itself, and doing it with as few human casualties as possible to the Palestinian people, while Hamas uses children as shields, openly stating that they don’t care if children are killed. Israel is powerful, more wealthy, and mostly white. The Palestinians are poor, weak, and brown, but they are consumed by hatred of the Jews to the point of derangement and they can rightly be called evil. Israel has worked very hard over the last seven decades to make their country prosperous, while the Palestinians have been consumed by hatred of the… Read more »

Gimmeabreak answered RobbyDobby and all HamShipey says is Relax? Gimme gave a reasoned reply. I agree with him. How is Israel behaving badly? The world always puts blame on Isreal for defending itself.

This conflict has no standing in Los Angeles or WeHo. The law enforcement agencies must find those responsible for the violence the other night and arrest them.

The Palestinians are focused only on hatred of Jews and revenge for perceived injustice. They make no attempt to better their own lives. They live to destroy.

I can give you 250,000,000 reasons ($$). Biden gave them our money for vaccines. I’m sure the money was well spent (sarcasm).

What would Israel do without the billions of dollars in aid we regularly provide them, including major weapons sales. If the Palestinians received the same amount of financial assistance, including weapons, I wonder what would happen.

Because they don’t want to work? Because they live off Iran welfare? Biden take note, cradle to grave government hand outs leads to a bored society.

Very disturbing incident and very scary for all our Jewish residents. Let’s hope for a thorough investigation.
