A man who apparently committed suicide by jumping from an upper level of a parking garage at The Grove Monday morning was identified as 50-year-old West Hollywood resident Paul David Beckett today.
Police and paramedics were called to an alley behind a parking structure at Third and Fairfax streets at 8:58 a.m. Monday, said Officer Sara Faden, a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman. The man jumped about an hour before the shopping center opened.
Police said no foul play was believed to be involved in the death of the man.
Last July, a 29-year-old man died after jumping from the roof of a seven-story parking structure at the Grove.
