West Hollywood Park will soon be getting new water fountains designed for filling water bottles.
During its Monday night meeting, the West Hollywood City Council approved an agreement with Smart Tap, which will provide and maintain the “water bottle filling stations” for free during a six-month pilot program.
Park users can fill their reusable water bottles in the park and avoid buying more plastic bottles. Smart Tap says it will provide free reusable bottles to the city to promote the launch this fall.
In exchange, Smart Tap gets the right to recruit sponsors for each water fountain. If sponsors are found, Smart Tap will share the revenue with the city. If not, the city gets the water stations for free for six months.
I don’t get it – there are already water fountains in Weho park?
Would love to see this pilot program at Plummer Park!
