As 2015 comes to an end, LGBT people are celebrating a year of remarkable change that includes a nationwide right to same-sex marriage, the positive presence of transexual people in the media and an end to a Boy Scout ban on gay leaders, among other things.

The L.A. LGBT Center has created a video that calls out the LGBT community’s triumphs, with a stirring speech by Lorri Jean, the Center’s CEO on the day the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide was celebrated in West Hollywood. It also reminds people that there are still issues to be dealt with, such as gay conversion programs.
