Update: Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Gun Packing, Knife-Wielding Visitor to the Kardashian’s Dash Store

UPDATE: Sheriff’s Detectives tonight arrested Maricia Medrano, 35, at her Los Angeles home and booked her on charges of assault and making criminal threats in the incident at Dash described below. She is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station has released photos of a woman said to have pointed a handgun today at employees at Dash, the clothing shop owned by the Kardashian sisters.

According to a statement from the Sheriff’s Station, the woman entered the shop at 8420 Melrose Ave. around 11:32 a.m. “pointed a handgun at an employee and shouted, ‘Stay away from Cuba.’ The suspect then knocked items off the counter and pointed the handgun at a second employee before she exited the store.”

“The suspect was last seen walking west on Melrose Avenue toward La Cienega Boulevard and out of view. With the assistance of a …. helicopter, West Hollywood deputies conducted a thorough search of the area in an attempt to apprehend the suspect. Witnesses described the suspect as approximately five foot ten inches tall and weighing at least 170 lbs.”

The woman returned to Dash at around 1:25 p.m. carrying a machete estimated to be about 14 inches long. “She paced back and forth several times in front of the business with machete in hand, shouting, before wedging the weapon between the door and the door frame,” the Sheriff’s Station statement said. “The suspect left the weapon wedged in the door frame and walked west on Melrose Avenue toward La Cienega Boulevard.

Dash is owned by Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian, sisters who are known for their roles in “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” the reality-TV series.

To point out the obvious, the suspect was arrested the same day. Those who criticize the police work should be honest enough to acknowledge that positive result, right?

The cops didn’t think to patrol the area for at least the rest of the day in case she came back? It’s no wonder more and more crime is happening during the day in busy areas.

I’m sorry but how is it that the at the second visit this person was not apprehended or at least been able to have been located via patrols in the area that should have been in close proximity after the first incident. Wake up weho. Unless of course the dash employees didn’t know enough to immediately call 911. U can’t convince me those girls don’t have their phones glued to them.
