WeHo Crime: Woman Takes $90k in Watches and Jewelry After Being Invited In for a Visit

Below is the weekly crime report from the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station that calls out incidents in WeHo from Fe. 12 to Feb. 18. The list includes each case number. This report lists Part 1 (serious) crimes for the date range shown and is not meant to be a complete list of all serious crimes.

Feb. 12

Residential Burglary (Suspect Arrested). 8400 block Fountain Avenue at 8:15 a.m. A man used an unlocked door to gain entry to the vacant apartment. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect. #00972

Feb. 13

Aggravated Assault – Hands, Fist, Feet. 8800 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 12:15 a.m. A man was punched one time in the face by another man while inside the club (which WEHOville has identified as Trunks). The victim lost a tooth as a result of the punch and also suffered a cut to his cheek. #00992

Feb. 14

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon. 8900 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 7:46 a.m. A man hit the victim with a bamboo stick after being told to leave the area. #01017

Residential Burglary. 7300 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 1 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a window screen to gain access to the residence and removed a Rolex watch, perfume, camera, laptop computer, sunglasses, purse and leather duffle bag from the bedroom. Loss $24,000. #01045

Vehicle Burglary. 1100 block Curson Avenue between 8:30 and 11 p.m. An unknown suspect removed headphones from the driver’s side door compartment, three jackets from the back seat and a sweater from the front seat. No sign of forced entry. Loss $2,100. #01034

Feb. 15

Grand Theft. 600 block North Robertson Boulevard between 12:30 and 12:45 am. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone from the victim’s purse while inside a nightclub. Loss $1,000. #01041

Other Burglary. 1100 block Hacienda Place at 10 a.m. A man jumped the fence to gain access to the apartment complex mail room and removed an unsecured package. Amount of loss unknown. #01039

Vehicle Burglary 8400 block Sunset Boulevard between 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. An unknown suspect removed a handgun from the trunk. No sign of forced entry. Loss $500. #01050

Feb. 16

Vehicle Burglary. 1100 block North La Cienega Boulevard between 10:26 p.m. and 11 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window and removed a laptop computer and a backpack containing clothing and makeup from the back seat. Loss $3,250. #01079

Vehicle Burglary. Santa Monica Boulevard / Huntley Drive between 11 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a purse containing a wallet and keys from underneath the front seat. The purse and wallet were recovered the next day. Loss $200. #01120

Feb. 17

Grand Theft. 1200 block North La Brea Avenue between noon and 2:30 a.m. A women removed two Rolex watches, two gold necklaces and two gold necklaces from the victim’s bedroom after being invited inside by the victim. Loss $90,000. #01073

Grand Theft. 8600 block Sunset Boulevard between 11 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a bag containing a wallet and $5,000 in cash from the front seat of the unlocked vehicle. Loss $5,125. #01085

Residential Burglary – Suspect Arrested. 1200 block North Orange Grove Avenue at 5:35 p.m. A man used an unlocked door to gain entry and ransacked the interior. Responding deputies located the suspect inside the residence and arrested him. No loss. #01088

Feb. 18

Grand Theft. 1000 block North La Brea Avenue at 7 pm. A women removed a cell phone from a display area and left the store without payment. Loss $1,100. #01119

Vehicle Burglary. Hilldale Avenue / Sunset Boulevard between 1 and 2:10 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing an IPad and shoes from the trunk. Loss $860. #01097
