Eleven Car Burglaries and a Stabbing at Micky’s Last Week

Eleven car burglaries and a stabbing at Micky’s bar on Santa Monica Boulevard were among the serious (Part I) crimes reported in West Hollywood from Feb. 4 through 10.  What follows is a list of all serious crimes reported to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station. Feb. 5


Grand Theft. 400 block Robertson Boulevard between 3:20 and 2:25 p.m. Two women removed clothing from a display area and left the store without payment. #00760
 
Residential Burglary (Suspect Arrested). 1000 block Havenhurst Drive at 1:30 p.m. A man smashed a bedroom window to gain entry to the residence. The victim came home during the burglary and found the suspect inside. Responding deputies arrested the suspect as he attempted to leave the residence. #00753
 
Strong Arm Robbery. 900 block Orange Grove at 5:35 p.m. A woman was walking northbound on Orange Grove Avenue when a man approached her from behind and violently pulled her purse from her shoulder. The suspect ran to an awaiting car and fled the area. #00762
 
Vehicle Burglary. 8400 block Melrose Avenue between 4:45 and 7 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed property from the backseat. #00765
 
Vehicle Burglary. 500 block La Cienega Boulevard between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m.  An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed property from the rear floorboard. #00772
 
Feb. 6


Grand Theft. 8800 block Melrose Avenue at 7:30 p.m. Two men and two women removed 15 shirts and 10 jackets from a display area and left the store without payment. #00787
 
Vehicle Burglary. 900 block Hancock Avenue at 6:18 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the passenger’s side rear window and removed property from the interior. #00785
 
Vehicle Burglary. 8900 block Rosewood Avenue between 9 p.m. and 10 a.m. An unknown suspect removed property from the center console and rear floorboard. No sign of forced entry. #00807

Aggravated Assault (Suspect Arrested). 8800 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 1:23. a.m. A man stabbed a security guard in the back with a pocket knife while being escorted out of the club (Micky’s) for using a fake ID. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #00816
 
Grand Theft (Suspect Arrested). 8800 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 1:30 a.m. A man removed two cell phones from an office inside the club. The suspect ran from the club and was arrested by responding deputies. The cell phones were recovered. #00817
 
Vehicle Burglary. 1200 block Laurel Avenue between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m.. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed property from the dashboard. #00848
 
Vehicle Burglary. Romaine Street / Edinburgh Avenue between Feb. 8 and Feb.10.
An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed property from the center console. #00877
 
Feb. 9


Aggravated Assault. 600 block Robertson Boulevard at 2:35 a.m. A man was punched and kicked by three men during a fight. After the assault, the three suspects ran to a vehicle parked nearby and fled the area. #00845
 
Grand Theft. 1200 block North Flores Street at 1:30 a.m. A man gave his cell phone to the suspect so he could enter his phone number. The suspect kept the phone and drove away. #00852
 
Vehicle Burglary. 8700 block W Sunset Boulevard between 10:10 and 11:45 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed property from underneath the front seat. #00861
 
Vehicle Burglary. 8500 block Melrose Avenue between 10 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and pushed the back seat down to expose the trunk area but there was no property inside the vehicle. #00863
 
Vehicle Burglary. 400 block Doheny Drive between 3 and 5:20 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window but did not take anything. #00875

Grand Theft. 600 block North Robertson Boulevard at 2 a.m An unknown suspect removed a wallet and cell phone from the victim’s pocket while inside the club. #00865
 
Other Burglary. 8900 block Beverly Boulevard at 11:34 p.m.. Two men attempted to cut a hole in the rear wall of the business to gain access but were unsuccessful. #00893
 
Vehicle Burglary. 8400 block Sunset Boulevard between 8:30 and 10:15 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed property from the front seat. #00887
 
Vehicle Burglary. 8400 block Sunset Boulevard between 6 and 10:15 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed property from the rear floorboard. #00888

Wow Last week eight thefts from cars.This week eleven car burglaries/Time to start asking questions of WHD Sheriffs .Are the deputies concentrating on these areas and talking to people? These criminals have to be in the area and do the logs of the deputies reflect their efforts to combat this crime You have to go down to the trenches and stop and talk to suspicious people.Its not pretty work but the only way to stop it is to find the crooks especially before they strike. With all due respect to your distinguished service in law enforcement, please do consider the “possibility” that at-least “some” of these vehicle burglaries may NOT be just that. Imagine if someone like me who the establishment has no problem considering the worst possible scenario from my standing for the MOST likely explanation for just about everything, reported that my scooter 🛵 got its compartment under the seat broken into. I report a few Rolex ♛ watches and Fabergé eggs 🥚 having been stolen and, spend the least amount of time possible talking to detectives as opposed to the considerable effort… Read more »
