The awards keep rolling in. On the heels of an announcement by the Automobile Club of Southern California that three West Hollywood hotels have won its coveted Four Diamond rating comes an announcement from Forbes Travel Guide that the Kimpton La Peer hotel has earned its four-star rating, the first hotel in West Hollywood to do so.
The Kimpton La Peer was one of three WeHo hotels granted the AAA Four Diamond rating. Others included the Sunset Marquis and The London West Hollywood. West Hollywood currently is home to 21 hotels, with the 22nd ,the Pendry on Sunset at Olive, anticipated to be opening soon.
“As the first and only Forbes starred hotel in West Hollywood, the Kimpton La Peer Hotel is proud to showcase our brand of unbuttoned luxury,” said General Manager Nick Rimedio in an announcement of the award.“The highlight of this achievement is bringing this global recognition home to West Hollywood and the Design District. We have always strived to be the best neighbor to our community and are proud that the Kimpton La Peer Hotel is a love letter to the streets of Melrose, Robertson and Beverly where our lobby truly doesn’t stop at our font door.”
The Kimpton La Peer is a 105-room hotel in the heart of West Hollywood’s Design District, between the Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue. It features indoor and outdoor public spaces, a secluded pool, an on-site art gallery and a 4,000-square-foot rooftop event space. It also is home to Viale dei Romani, a modern trattoria with a focus on wood fired seafood, vegetables and handmade pastas. It is noted for its interior design and a curated art collection by designer Gulla Jónsdóttir.
