Smoke Steakhouse Cuts the Ribbon

Smoke, the third restaurant and first steakhouse opened by Broseph Restaurant Group (BRG), celebrated Friday (Nov. 9) with an official ribbon cutting with the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

BRG partners Justin Safier and Travis Lester were joined by West Hollywood Mayor Jeffrey Prang and Chamber President and CEO Genevieve Morrill in celebrating the official opening of the restaurant, which has been in operation since Sept. 3 at 9010 Melrose Ave. near North Almont.

Smoke, which replaced the Artichoke’s Heart steakhouse at the same location, features dry and aged beef. Its grill menu includes bone-in dry-aged ribeye, bone-in dry-aged Kansas City strip steak, New York strip steak and Kobe beef burgers.

Earlier this year BRG opened Brick + Mortar restaurant in Santa Monica. In August BRG opened Fatty’s Public House at 829 N. La Cienega Blvd. near Willoughby. Fatty’s, which occupies a spot left empty for almost a year by the closing of Oak Fire Pizzeria & Pub, is named after famed actor Fatty Arbuckle, who legend says once lived on that spot. BRG also operates Bar Esquina in Cabo San Lucas.

BRG completely renovated the Artichoke space, installing granite tabletops and a dark black and gray interior. The restaurant has an attached bar and lounge area. It is open seven days a week from five p.m. to two a.m. Smoke plans to open for brunch soon.
