Carta keeps in shape with recreational sports. He plays on the team “Heathers” in the Tuesday night dodgeball league. He also hits the gym, and kicks up his routine before the summer months, to get in perfect shirtless shape.

Carta enjoys the convenience of living in mid-city WeHo.

“I go to the 24 Hour Fitness Super-Sport here in West Hollywood. I currently live on San Vicente, and it’s a quick walking distance from my apartment; plus I have a routine of getting a protein shake and then going tanning after my workouts, and all of those places are located right next to each other.”

At the gym, “I try and workout two muscle groups and abs per visit,” he said. “For example, Monday I’ll focus on chest, biceps and abs. Tuesday would be shoulders, triceps and abs. Wednesday would be back, legs and abs, and so on. I try and schedule what muscle I’ll work out according to what I’ve got going on the following day. I’ll never work out shoulders on a Monday knowing that Tuesday they will be killing me, and I usually have a dodgeball game. I do three sets of different exercises per muscle I’m working out that day.”

As for his diet, “I just try and make healthier choices and snack less. A lightly seasoned chicken breast with brown rice and veggies is a perfect meal for me,” he said.

Like Dortch, he’s more relaxed with his routine during the winter season. “I’ll go less, not eat as healthy as I should, pretty much freeze my tanning membership. It’s like I get into ‘I’m in a relationship and I don’t care mode’ and the winter season is my boyfriend!”
