Trump Advisor Who Was Sentenced in Mueller Probe Will Be Visiting WeHo Soon

He may not be as eye-catching as Stormy Daniels. (Or as creative as Sabo).  And he won’t be getting the key to the City of West Hollywood from the mayor or one of the City Council members.  But another major figure in the controversy that is Donald Trump will be visiting West Hollywood soon.

George Papadopoulos

That is George Papadopoulos, a major member of Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign team who pleaded guilty to making false statements to FBI agents relating to contacts he had with agents of the Russian government while working for the Trump campaign.

Papadopoulos will be the guest speaker at the Oct. 18 mixer of the Log Cabin Republicans on the roof of Fiesta Cantina, the bar and restaurant at 8865 Santa Monica Blvd. in WeHo’s Boystown nightlife district. Log Cabin Republicans is an organization of conservative LGBT people who support the Republican Party. The organization has been a backer of Donald Trump.

“Hope you can make this one,” says an email announcement of the event. “Bring friends and foes alike. It’s gonna be UGE.”

The federal charges against Papadopoulos came from the Mueller investigation into allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Papadopoulos, who had been a member of the foreign policy advisory panel for Trump’s election campaign, was sentenced to 14 days in prison, 12 months of supervised release, and 200 hours of community service and was fined $9,500.

After Papadopoulos’s arrest, Donald Trump described him on Twitter as “the young, low level volunteer named George, who has already proven to be a liar.” However, Trump later appeared to agree with Papadopoulos’s assertion that he was a victim of a “deep state” conspiracy, something Papadopoulos alleges in his 2019 book “Deep State Target.

This is a good thing. The owners of Fiesta Cantina have outed themselves as supporters of Republicans. It’s nice to know. Very often customers have to wonder if a business they support is Republican owned and by spending money there, they are indirectly supporting Republicans and effectively, Trump. Hopefully people will stop supporting a business in West Hollywood which supports Trump. The owner of El Coyote could not apologize enough to the Gay community as her business dried up as a result of her support of an anti-LGTB effort. I agree with everything in Michaels comment. I have known a… Read more »

Hahaha, El Coyote never dried up, the gays just stopped going for a while. The place has been in business for 88 years. You have no idea what you are talking about. Margie is so sweet, and she made a mistake, because her church said to donate to a cause. Many were confused by Prop 8.

Wow…PRISTINE example of leftist attempt at journalism that reads like propaganda for the demoncraps. Laughable. Americans just keep laughing at your expense and the fake news echo chamber. Pathetic.

The Log Cabin Republicans share many traits with Republican women, in general. Both groups enjoy being denigrated and weakened by Conservative straight males. Both groups are too scared to have the power and choice to run their own lives, so they willfully hand that over – and then pretend to take pride in that, by making up names like “Log Cabin Republicans” or “Women for Trump.” May as well be “Poultry for KFC.” These people are suffocating themselves.

Yep, JF1, it’s just about as simple as that. I kinda like low unemployment, especially for the minority communities, higher wages, lower taxes, the elimination of burdensome and stupid regulations that cripple businesses, the deportation of criminal illegal immigrants, and …….., golly-gee, I could just go on and on.

You forgot about violating the constitution to serve one man’s political ambitions.
