Varsity Gay League tennis champions were crowned in three categories recently as the Varsity Gay League summer 2013 league wrapped up competition.
Taking the titles were the Proud Mary Carillos, who beat Deuce’s Wild in the challengers division, The William Sisters, who defeated The Honey Badgers in the champions division, and Ball Whackers, who topped Princess n Bitch in the masters division.
The next Varsity Gay League tennis season begins Monday nights starting Sept. 23 at Poinsettia Park Rec Center at 7341 Willoughby Ave. at Poinsettia in Los Angeles. More information online.
